    • ASPDEN, Howard (Bill) - At University Hospital, London, Ont., on Saturday, March 7, 1981, following a lengthy illness. Bill Aspden, aged 70 years, of 225 Harvard Place, Waterloo.

      Husband of the former Helen Reid; father of Donald and Tommy, both of Kitchener, Robert of Port Stanley, Mary Lee (Mrs. Wayne Martin) of RR 2, Wellesley and Kathryn (Mrs. Douglas Allen) of Brantford; uncle of Mrs. Margaret Spooner of St. Thomas. Fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. Predeceased by his parents; one son, John and one sister, Marjorie Johnson.

      He was a member of First Baptist Church, Waterloo. He was employed by Intercity Truck Lies for 35 years.

      Friends called at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener. The funeral and committal service was held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 pm, Rev. John Redding officiated.

      Interment in Memory Gardens.
