Notes - AWENDER, Catherine Barbara (Koch) On Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, in her 90th year. Loving wife of the late Andrew Awender (2006).Cherished mother of Michael (Judi) of Phoenix, Arizona, Richard (Joan) of Winterton, Nfld., and Daniel (Audrey) of Waterloo. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Todd Awender (Sue), Darren Awender, Cheri Bornais (Darren), and Christopher Awender (Christine) and by her great-grandchildren, Madison and Kennedy Awender, Grace and Sophie Bornais and Rayne, Ashton and Zoe Awender. Also survived by brother-in-law, Frank Awender and sisters-in-law, Betty Mayer and Elizabeth Koch. Fondly remembered by Dianne and Len Musselman and the many friends she had at Queen's Heights and Parkwood Retirement Suites. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's RC Church, 56 Duke Street West, Kitchener on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 10: 00 a.m. with Fr. George Nowak CR officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 519-749-8467. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Arthritis Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
