- Death of Edward (Ted) Nichol
The sudden death occurred early Tuesday morning at the home of his brother William, near St. Marys, of Edward Bruce (Ted) Nichol, aged 50 years. The late Mr. Nichol had suffered an attack of pneumonia several years ago and had been in indifferent health ever since.
Born at the family home, a mile north of Ayr, now owned by Fred Stager, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Nichol. Early in life he became interested in music, following a family tradition, and was connected with several dance orchestras as a violinist.
He left this district some eight years ago, when the farm was sold, and had worked at various occupations in recent years.
Surviving are three brothers, David of London, Roy of near Galt and William of near St. Marys; five sisters, Mrs. Howard Grieve j Florence), Detroit; Mrs. Walter Grieve Margaret, Hazel Park, Mich.; Mrs. Chas. Cook (Elizabeth) of Castro Valley, Cal.; Mrs. William Murray (Jean) of Hagersville, and Mrs. David Stark (Isabel) of Fort Erie.
The funeral will be held from the W. O. Ball Funeral Parlor on Thurs-day at 2.30 p.m., with interment in Ayr Cemetery.
