Notes |
- We do not know when or where he died. He is rumored to have fought in the Civil War and went to the States to collect a pension. Although he did cross the border in 1916, he indicated that he was in the States 1862-1864 living at "various places" without a mention of military service. I think I found him in the 1920 census for Waycross, Ware, Georgia; however, in this census he lists that his parents were born in Canada and not Scotland where they were born. The original family tree states that his last known residence was Wayside, Georgia. When he crossed, he listed his destination as Crystal Springs, Florida.
