- Miss Elizabeth Dryden Lifelong Resident of North Dumfries Township Passes on Saturday in Her 72nd Year .
The death occurred at her late residence, Willison street, Ayr, on Saturday evening of Miss Elizabeth Dryden, in her 72nd year.
Miss Dryden, who was a daughter of the late Andrew Dryden and Annie Cress, was born on the Dryden homestead, 10th concession of North Dumfries. Here she resided until moving to Ayr. with her brother one and half years ago. She attended Knox Presbyterian Church, Galt and was highly esteemed by many friends and relatives.
Surviving are five sisters, Mrs Jack Campbell, Winnipeg; Mrs. Richard Connolly, Toronto; Mrs. Merle Rogers, Galt. Miss Edith Dryden, Ayr, and Mrs. James Brown, Cedar Creek road; three brothers, Andrew Dryden, Aberdeen road, Galt; Alvin Dryden, Ayr, and Clarence Dryden, Toronto.
The Funeral.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from the chapel of the Harold Gray Funeral Home, Galt, to Mount View Cemetery, Galt. The services were in charge of Rev. W. J. McKeown, and the pallbearers were: Erie Currie, Hugh C. Elliott, Thomas Wright, John Taylor, Walter Brown and Walter Dryden. There were many beautiful floral tributes.
