- Mrs. Stanley Gehman - A well-known Ayr district resident, Mrs. Stanley Gehman, passed away in Coutts Pavilion, Kitchener, on Sunday in her 61st year. She suffered a stroke some time ago, from which she never recovered. The former Agnes Ronald, she was born in North Dumfries, a daughter of the late Robert Ronald and Jane Bond. She had resided in this district all her life, for the past several years on the Ayr-Wrigley's Road. Mrs. Gehman was a valued member of Knox's Presbyterian Church, Galt, and president of the church's High Park Ladies' Group. She was also an active worker with the Central Dumfries Women's Institute. Surviving, besides her husband, are sons, Robert E. and Ronald S., RR 1, Ayr, and Langdon W., Brampton; daughters, Mrs. Robert Mitchell (Janis) and Mrs. Floyd Schaefer (Helen), both of Ayr; sisters, Mrs. George Sandilands (Myrtle), RR 4, Galt, and Mrs. Langdon (Mildred) Gellman, a missionary in India. Eleven grandchildren also survive. - The Funeral - Funeral service was held on Monday from Coutts and Son Funeral Home, Galt, conducted by Rev. Dr. David Gowdy of Galt. Interment was made in Memory Gardens, Breslau. Pallbearers were: George Sandilands and William Reid, RR 4, Galt; George Rhodey, RR 2, Galt; Clarence Ronald, Paris; Thomas Ronald, RR 1, Branchton, and Eldon Schoenfeld, Preston.
