      NEW DUNDEE, Aug. 20, Adam Alexander Brighton, a lifelong resident of this district, passed away at his home in New Dundee yesterday following an illness of three years.

      Mr. Brighton was born in Kitchener on Nov. 26, 1878, son of Mrs. C. Brighton Walker and the late Aaron Brighton, and was in his 64th year. He was married to Martha Kavelman in 1906 and took up residence in New Dundee.

      Mr. Brighton was a mason by trade, later being engaged in trucking for the local creamery, He was a faithful member of the St. James' Lutheran Church of this village and a regular attendant at all services as long as health permitted.

      He was secretary-treasurer of the Lutheran Sunday School for 16 years and resigned owing to his impaired health. He was also a member of the New Dundee Musical Band.

      He is survived by his wife, one son, Lorne, and one daughter, Mrs. Gordon Lee (Helen), both of New Dundee five grandchildren. his mother two sisters, Mrs. Allan Stager of Tavistock and Mrs. Mervin Bechtel of New Dundee, and three brothers Albert and Abner of Preston and Hymmen of Toronto.

      The funeral will take place from his late residence on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock to St. James Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery. New Dundee
