  Lydia Shantz, "was born March 1st, 1825. On October 28th, 1845, she was married to Abraham B. Clemmer and died April 15th 1887." Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ______________________ CLEMMER - On the 15th of February, near Breslau, Waterloo county, Ontario, of typhoid fever, Sister Lydia, wife of Abraham b. Clemmer, aged 61 years, 11 months and 14 days. She was buried on the 18th in Synder's grave-yard near Bloomingdale. Services by A. Martin and J. Woolner. Sister Clemmer was a faithful member of the Mennonite Church for many years and was blessed with general good health throughout her life. She was ever ready to lend assistance to the sick and the needy and will be missed by a large circle of friends. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn their loss. Bro. Clemmer, who has been sickly for some months, was unable to follow the remains of his beloved companion to their last resting place, notwithstanding that he is better than he had been for some time previous to her death Herald of Truth , Vol. XXIV, Number 6, March 15, 1887 - Page 94, 95
