  Mary Louise Penner 1926 - 2019 After a full and happy life, Mary Penner passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Freeport Health Centre at the age of 92. Mary was the loving mother of her daughter Debra (Doug) Koegler, son Tim (Pat) Penner; proud Nana of Joanne (Mike) Roberts, Stephanie (Ryan) Schurr, Scott (Meghan) Penner, Chris Penner and Gillian Penner; and devoted Oma of Allison & Isaac Roberts and Olivia & Hannah Penner. She is survived by her sister, Wanda Trautman. She was predeceased by her daughter Sandra, her husband Herbert, her sister Hilda Horst and brother Peter Hubert. Mary was a "people person" throughout her life, with active involvement in her community wherever she lived: on King St. in Waterloo, the cottage in Lakeside, Foxboro Green in Baden, or Luther Village on the Park. She loved life and her passionate joy was contagious to everyone she met. Her church, Emmanuel United, was important to her, as was her participation in many choirs and solo performances at weddings and funerals. Friends are invited to share their memories of Mary with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, April 3 at 11:00 am. Reception to follow in the Fireside Reception Room.
