  A sad event occurred last Monday when Mrs. Josiah Cressman departed this life after a short illness with pneumonia. Deceased was well known and highly respected in this neighborhood. Her early demise has left a vacancy in her home circle that can never be filled. She leaves to mourn their loss a sorrowing husband, a daughter and three sons the two youngest of which (twin sons) aged about two years were both ill with influenza when they were bereft of their mother. The funeral took place on Thursday afternoon at the Mennonite church which adjoins the homestead. Elmira Signet Dec 26 1918
