  Nancy Shantz, "was born October 11th, 1839. On October 11th, 1859, she was married to Benjamin Rosenberger." Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ______________________ On the 1st of March, 1898, in Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Co., Ontario, of pneumonia, Sister Nancy, beloved wife of Bro. Benjamin S. Rosenberger. She was born on October 11th, 1839, and was a daughter of the late Bishop Henry Shantz. She leaves a sorrowing husband, and five sons and five daughters to mourn their loss, though not as those who have no hope. She was a member of the Mennonite Church for many years, and led a consistent Christian life. Buried in the Blenheim Mennonite cemetery on March 3rd where Menno Cressman preached in German from Rev. 14: 13, and Noah Stauffer in English from Prov. 12: 28, to a large congregation.
