    • HEIMPEL, John S. (Jack) - Peacefully, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Wednesday, November 7, 2001, in his 100th year.

      Jack Heimpel, of Kitchener, son of the late John and Amelia Heimpel (Ziegler). Beloved husband of Elmina (nee Jacky) who passed away July 1994, having celebrated 63 years of marriage. Loving and devoted father of William and Katherine Heimpel of Port Lambton and Carol and Tomohiro Okamura of Osaka, Japan. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Christopher and Valerie Heimpel. Dear brother of Delphine Schwantz of Kitchener.

      Predeceased by one brother, Harold and his wife Dolly; one sister, Annette and husband Norman Ziegler and brother-in-law, William Schwantz.

      Jack was a faithful and devoted member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church and enjoyed in later years, the Golden Hours broadcast, an avid hunter and fisherman and a retired employee of J. M. Schneider and the Twenty Five Year Club.

      Family will receive relatives and friends at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, (742-4481), 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, today (Saturday) and Sunday form 2-4 and 7-9 pm. On noon Monday, transfer will be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church for a celebration of Jack's life at 2 pm, Rev. Shirley Ruller officiating. Interment St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
