Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, Oct. 10, 1993, at her residence, Country Meadows, RR 2, Brunner, Katie Kuepfer, formerly of Milverton and RR 1, Newton.
She was born in Wilmot township 87 years ago, a daughter of the late Bishop Jacob and Catherine (Leis) Lichti. Katie was a member of Fairhaven Amish Mennonite Church, Poole.
Beloved wife of John C. Kuepfer whom she married September 30, 1930 and who predeceased her November 17, 1942. Loving mother of Mary and her husband Leonard Jantzi of Brunner, Floyd and his wife Laurene of Milverton, Norma and her husband Melvin Jantzi of Dexter, Maine, John and his wife Katie of RR 2, Milverton, Melvin and his wife Amy of RR 1, Newton, Mervin and his wife Norma of RR 1, Newton; lovingly remembered by 28 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Nancy (Mrs. Noah Gascho) of Aylmer, Lydia (Mrs. Noah Roes) of Brunner, Mary and her husband Nicholas Jantzi of RR 1, Wellesley. Katie was predeceased by one grandson, Samuel Jantzi and two sisters, Fannie (Mrs. Moses Zehr) and Mattie (Mrs. Noah Jantzi) and two brothers, Jacob and Samuel Lichti.
Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 9 Pacific Ave., Milverton, today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. There will be a family service at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1993 at 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service at Fairhaven Amish Mennonite Church, Poole at 2 p.m., with Joseph Kuepfer officiating. Interment to follow in Mornington Amish Mennonite Cemetery, Poole West.
As expressions of sympathy, donations made be made to Voice of the Martyrs or Christian Printing Missions of Ontario.
