- DOERING, Mrs. Nelson (Alma) - Peacefully, on Monday, Jan. 6, 1992, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Alma Marie Doering, of 12 Molesworth St., Wellesley.
Alma was born in Wilmot Township 84 years ago, a daughter of the late George Hohl and the late Nancy Roeder. Also predeceased by her step-mother, Maude Hohl. She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg. She was also active with the Lutheran Church Women.
Beloved mother of Jane (Mrs. Orval Mohr) of RR2, Baden, June and her husband Kenneth Schmidt of New Hamburg, David and his wife Ruby Doering of Wellesley, Ruth and her husband Stuart Little of Ingersoll, Lilla and her husband Robert Ramserver of New Hamburg and James and his wife Marlene Doering of Kitchener; dear sister of Stanley and his wife Evelyn Hohl of New Hamburg and Catherine (Mrs. Edgar Seyler) of Wellesley; sister-in-law of Mrs. Hilda Hohl of RR1, Wellesley. Lovingly remembered by 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Nelson William Doering (July 16, 1976); a son-in-law, Orval Mohr (December 3, 1991); by one brother, Elmer Hohl; a sister-in-law, Alma Forler and a brother-in-law, Edgar Seyler.
Visitation at the Futher bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where the family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. At noon Thursday, Jan. 9, removal will be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg for the service at 2 pm. Pastor Ernie Skujins and Intern Peter Lurvey will officiate. Spring interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Philipsburg.
