  Shantz, -- Menno M., third son of Henry and Veronica (Martin) Shantz, was born in 1883; died at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital Nov. 2, 1954; aged 71 years. In Sept. 1907, he was married to Esther Wismer who preceded him in death in March, 1947. He is survived by 3 sons (John, Ervin, and Samuel, all farming near Ayr, Ont.), 4 daughters (Estelle of St. George, Ont.; Ella--Mrs. Burns of Galt, Ont.; Marion--Mrs. Linsman of Kitchener, Ont., and Doris--Mrs. Weicker of New Hamburg, Ont.), and 3 brothers (Levi and Noah of Braeside Home, Preston, Ont,. And Amos of Ayr, Ont.). Four children also preceded him (Menno, Peter, Willard, and Reta--Mrs. Horsfall). Services were held at the Roseville Mennonite Church, Roseville, Ont., where he was a member since youth. Moses S. Bowman and Moses Roth conducted the services.
