- DITNER, John A. - Peacefully, on Thursday, Jan. 13, 1983, at K-W Hospital, John A. Ditner, age 75 years, of RR 1, West Montrose.
Beloved husband of Marianne Freiburger; dear father of Mrs. Gerald (Arlene) Herteis of St. Clements, Mrs. George (Bernice) Cherrey of Palmerston and Richard of Huron Park, Ont. Ten grandchildren also survive. Brother of Mrs. F.D. (Florentine) Bley of Winter Haven, Fla., Mrs. Joseph (Marie) Rumig of St. Clements, Anthony of Wellesley and Wilbert of RR 3, Waterloo.
Mr. Ditner was predeceased by his parents, Xavier Ditner and Regina Hoffarth; four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, after 7 p.m. Saturday, until Monday morning, for prayers at 10:15 a.m. Removal will then be made to St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill, for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment St. Boniface RC cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
The family will receive their friends Saturday evening, 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Parish rosary Sunday evening, 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
