- Alfred Dietrich
Alfred W Dietrich of St. Agatha died on Monday of last week at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. He was 58.
Mr Dietrich was born in St. Agatha and lived here all his life. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Dietrich. He was employed by Canada Barrels and Kegs Ltd., Waterloo, and was a member of St. Agatha RC Church, the Council of Catholic Men. and Local 42 of the International Woodworkers' Association.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Dietrich, whom he married in St. Agatha in 1940; three sons, Ronald and Stephen, both of St. Agatha, and Franklin of Waterloo; one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Joan) Gunn of Linwood; one brother, Edgar of Petersburg; seven sisters, Mrs. Edward (Clara) Scherrer of Waterloo, Mrs. Simon (Irene) Meyer and Mrs. Louis (Antonia) Eberlin, both of Kitchener, Mrs. Carl (Marion) House of San Gabriel, Calif., Mrs. Alfred (Rita) Rettinger of Formosa, Mrs. Roy (Olive) Hesch of Walkerton, and Mrs. Alvin (Elizabeth) Schweitzer of Moorefield and seven grandchildren He was predeceased by one brother and one sister.
Parish rosary was recited last Wednesday. Requiem high mass was held at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, with burial taking place in the St. Agatha RC cemetery on Thursday.
