- Sophie E. Schantz
A resident of Kitchener for 75 years, Miss Sophie E. Schantz, 89, of 43 Schneider Ave., died Wednesday in K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness.
A native of Lincoln County, she had been an employee of the F. W. Woolworth Company for many . years before retiring in 1934. She was a member of Alma St. United Brethren Church and of the Ladies' Aid and Women's Missionary Society.
Surviving are two brothers, Frank A. and Austin T., both of Kitchener, and niece, Mrs. Dorothy Russell of Kitchener. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.
The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m., by Rev. A. Ward Woolner.
