Notes - SHANTZ, James W. (Jim) - Died suddenly May 25, 2008, at the age of 66, at his home in Hemet, California. Husband of Janet, he will be sadly missed by sister, Sandy and Brian Moyer of Ayr; nieces, Becky and Thom, Sara and Matt, Jessica and Brad and great-niece, Jailyn Mills, all of Cambridge. Also missed by cousins, Debbie and Doug McDaniel and aunt, Ruth Bruder. Predeceased by his parents, Jean and Norm Stahle and Lester Shantz. Jim worked over 30 years for Cooks/Hoegler Pharmacy where he had many cherished friendships, including Walter Cook and Herb Hoegler, prior to retiring in 2004 and moving to Hemet. Jim always had a helping hand or just a gentle ear for anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by all his friends. Jim has been laid to rest in Hemet, California. Expressions of sympathy could be made to the Humane Society in memory of Jim. Details of memorial service in Kitchener will be made at a later date.
