Albert V. Tracey
Albert V. Tracey of 12 Ezra Ave., Waterloo, father of Mrs. Harry (Louise) Schaefer of Petersburg, died last Wednesday in the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital. He was 83.
Born June 10, 1185 [sic] in Norwich, England, Mr. Tracey was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Tracey and lived in Waterloo most of his life.
He was a stationary engineer for the Equitable Life Insurance Co. for 35 years until retirement 15 years ago. Mr. Tracey was a member of the Church of the Holy Saviour in Waterloo and Kitchener branch 50 of the Royal Canadian Legion. He served with the 118th Battalion of the Canadian Army in the First World War.
Besides his wife, the former Maria Hildebrand, whom he married Feb. 12, 1913 in Acton, and Mrs. Schaefer, he is survived by two sons, Albert and Kenneth, both of Waterloo and two other daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Dorothy) Schnitzler and Mrs. Connelly (Violet) Nolan, both of Waterloo; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.
Services were held at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Rev. Denton Massey officiating
