James Wesley Chapman
Death came very suddenly on Tuesday, May 16th, to Mr. Wesley Chapman, a well-known and esteemed young farmer of this district. He had an attack of the grippe earlier in the spring and was suffering with a heart affliction. He worked all day in the fields and about six o'clock while unharnessing his horses after his day's work he collapsed suddenly and passed away. His sudden death was a distinct shock to his family and many friends. The deceased was a lifelong resident of this district and for the past ten years resided on a farm two miles southeast of New Hamburg.
He was a member of the New Hamburg Evangelical Church and had a large circle of friends who deeply regret his passing. Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved family in their sad and sudden bereavement. The late Mr. Chapman who was in his 48th year was married to Annie Witzel, daughter of the late Wm. Witzel, who
