  Russell Thomas Russell Thomas of 400 Wellington St., N., Kitchener, died on Thursday at his home at the age of 78. Mr. Thomas was born Nov. 3, 1891, at Bloomingdale. He was a lifelong resident of the Twin City area. He was employed with Hogg Fuel and Supply Co. Ltd, for 35 years prior to his retirement, in 1958. He was a member of First Mennonite Church and served overseas in the First World War with the Canadian 133rd Infantry Battalion and attained the rank of sergeant. He was predeceased by his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Thomas, and his wife, the former Clara Shantz; two sons, Edward and William and one daughter, Clara, three brothers, Harold, Warren and Arthur and one sister, Mrs. Albert (Jessie) Moser. Surviving are five sons, Walter, Kenneth and Grant, all of Kitchener and Milton and Russell, both of Ayr; three daughters, Mrs. John (Lillian) Neilly of Kitchener, Mrs. Edward (Barbara) Giilck of Conestogo and Mrs. Harry (Mary Lou) Falkenstern of Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Jane) Gies of New Dundee and Mrs. Agnes Livoch of Detroit, 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
