    • MRS. OSCAR H. SCHMIDT

      Mrs. Oscar H. Schmidt, 48, of 23 Park Street, died suddenly July 27th at her home. She had been ill for several years. The former Lenora Otto, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Otto of New Hamburg and was married in 1915. She resided in Elmira since her marriage. A member of Zion Evangelical Church, Elmira, she was an active member of the Ladies' Aid and the Women's Missionary Society, and a former member of her church choir.

      She is survived by her husband, her parents, and one brother, Toman, of New Hamburg.

      Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 30 from her home followed by a memorial service at Zion Evangelical Church at 2.30 p.m. with interment in the Elmira Cemetery. The remains rested in the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel until the following day when they were taken to the late residence for service. Rev. E. N. Mohr, pastor of Zion Evangelical Church officiated. Rev. C. H. Cornwell of Olivet Church, Kitchener, delivered the memorial service.
