  HAMMOND, Rosa - On Tuesday, May 5, 1987, at K-W-Hospital, following a brief illness, age 81 years, of 415 Victoria St. N., Kitchener. Ross was born in Glen Allan, Ont., son of the late Fred A. Hammond and Vera Quickfall; dear brother of Mrs. Marguerite Peterson of Peachland, B.C., Mrs. Rosemary Under-wood of Unionville, Ont. and Mrs. Thelma Current of Kitchener. Also survived by his sister-in-law and best friend, Mrs. Anita Hammond. Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Mrs Grace Burch and two brothers, Mac and Grant. Ross served in the army in Europe in the Second World War. He had owned his own caulking and swing-stage rental business in Kitchener and was well known to many contractors in the area. Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, after 7 p.m. today. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment Elmira Union cemetery.
