Notes |
- SCHOTT, Merrill Edward - Suddenly and peacefully passed into the presence of God on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at Grand River Hospital with Myrna by his side. Merrill was her devoted husband of 40 years.
He is the much loved father of Trevor and his wife Brenda, and Trent and his wife Kerry. As an affectionate Opa, his three grandchildren, Marlow, Walker and Abby were very precious to him. His presence will be missed by his twin sister, Marilyn and husband Bill Scherrer and their family and brother, Lloyd and wife Gloria Schott and their family. He was also cherished by his in-laws, Florence and Walter Schneider.
He took great pride in being employed at Koch Transport as Driver Trainer/Safety & Compliance Supervisor for many years. Being part of the Central Ontario Regional Truck Driving Committee was an added highlight. St. James Church family was the home of Merrill's deep religious beliefs and he enjoyed his involvement there.
In keeping with Merrill's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place at Elmira Union Cemetery on Tuesday, July 15. A resurrection service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2003 at St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira at 11 am. A time for visitation and memories will follow.
