      PRESTON, Oct. 8 - A short illness culminated in the death at her home in Beaverdale at 7: 15 last night of ovine Isabelle Markle, wife of William James Stuart, well-known district resident for the past 42 years. Mrs. Stuart was 73 years of age. She was born in Wallace Township. Following their marriage at Palmerston in 1895 Mr. and Mrs. Stuart farmed in North Dakota. Forty-two years ago they came to this district, farming on the Kitchener highway and then on the Blair-Preston highway until a year ago when they made their home at Beaverdale. Mrs. Stuart was a member of Preston Knox Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Ladies' Aid of that church. Surviving are her husband; three sons, Earl of Rothsay; Grover of Preston and Thomas of Glen Allan; and 14 grandchildren. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Sunday at 1: 30. Interment will be in the Preston cemetery.
