It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of John, on Thursday, May 25, 2000, at his home in Elmira, in his 69th year.
Lovingly remembered by his children, John and Anne Kearsley, Nancy and Jack Bauer of Elmira, Susan and Steve Phillips of Alberta, Jane and Chuck Plein of Keswick. Also sadly missed by his grandchildren, Sara, Scott and Saydee Phillips, Adam and Zachary Plein, John and Bethany Kearsley and one great-grandson, Andrew. Remembered also by his sisters and brother-in-law, Marjorie Magill and Joyce and Alan Marsden of Kingston; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Fred and Ada (Jackson) Kearsley.
John was involved in the electrical industry for many years and founded Kearsley Electrical Ltd. in 1966. He was involved in golf and a member of the Royal Canadian legion Elmira Branch No. 469. Special thanks to nurses, Goldie and Christine for their extraordinary care and compassion.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, May 29 at 11 a.m., with Rev. G. Dunbar officiating, followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery.
