  William Cornell By Record Correspondent PLATTSVILLE - William Cornell, 73, of Plattsville, died Saturday at Woodstock General Hospital after a lengthly illness. He was born at Linwood March 25, 1897, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cornell. He came to this area in 1954 and was employed on the railroad, and also by the Buffalo Sled Co. in Preston. He was predeceased by his wife, Emily Yeo [should read Irene, Emily was his mother] Survivors are: one son, Wesley of Waterloo; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Ableson of Plattsville, with whom he resided; a sister, Mrs. Alvan Koebel of Linwood; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Glendinning Funeral Home, where Rev. Harold Pillen of Plattsville United Church will officiate at the service Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Hespeler cemetery.
