- Mrs. Anthony Sykora
Mrs. Anthony Sykora, 114 Lancaster St. W., died suddenly, Saturday, at her home as the result of a heart attack. She was 72. Mrs. Sykora, the former Antionetta Hubacheck, was born in Czechoslovakia, Jan. 21, 1898. She cane to Canada, 64 years ago and lived in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, for the rest of her life. She was a member of St. Anne's RC Church. Her husband died April 10, 1954. Surviving are a son Carl, Kitchener; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Joynt, Carthage, N.Y., Mrs. Albert (Elizabeth) Bali, Galt, Mrs. Douglas (Roseanne) Gerrard, Kitchener, and Mrs. Ronald (Camille) Ten Eyck, Guelph; five brothers. Frank and Anthony, both of South River, Charles, Joseph and Ralph, all of Kitchener; a sister, Mrs. Adam (Mary) Nadrofsky, Kitchener; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Anna and a brother, Wenzle. The body Is at the Ratz-Bech-tel Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited Tuesday, at 8 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Wednesday, at 9: 30 a.m., followed by removal to St. Anne's Church for the funeral mass, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Clements RC cemetery, Preston. Rev. T. J. Gallagher of St Anne's Church will officiate.
