      MacDONALD, Harriet Elizabeth - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge in her 93rd year. Harriet (nee Hicklin), beloved wife of the late Norman MacDonald. Dear mother of Ross MacDonald and his wife Lori Barnhart of Kitchener. Survived by one niece, Janice Lowther of Windsor. Predeceased by her parents, Ross and Eva Hicklin; two brothers, Ralph Hicklin and Ross Hicklin; and one sister, Dorothy. Mrs. MacDonald was born in Chatham and had been a resident of Cambridge since 1945. She was a member of Knox Preston Presbyterian Church and was a retired bookkeeper from Wean United. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home , 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Thursday, April 9, 2009 from 1 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. with Rev. Bill Bynum officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
