  LINK, Ernst "Ernie" - Went to be with his Lord, surrounded by family after a brief illness on Sunday, March 18, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Evelyn (nee Peters) Link for 52 years. Loving father of Elrone and her husband Donnie Bowman, Angela and her husband John Vandenberg, Ralph Link and his wife Judy and Wilfred Link. Devoted grandfather of Janna and her fiance Matthew Terrill, Andrea Bowman, Kerilynn and Ryan Vandenberg and Kyle and Nicholas Link. Dear brother of Edeltraut and her husband Alfred Korchewitz, Kitchener and Elizabeth and her husband Paul Neumann of California and their families. Predeceased by his parents and a sister. Ernie was an active, longtime member of Grandview Baptist Church. He was passionate about his work in the family business Twin Oaks of Maryhill Nursing Home for the past 35 years. Ernie enjoyed chauffeuring his grandchildren and playing with his dog Winnie. Ernie's family will receive relatives and friends today (Tuesday) from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Grandview Baptist Church (239 Old Chicopee Rd., Kitchener). Pastor Don Howard officiating. Private family interment Parkview Cemetery.
