- RABE, Henry of 119 King St. E., St. Clements. at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, Sunday, Sept. 10, 1972, Henry Rabe, beloved husband of the late Lucinda Wilhelm; dear father of Claude and John of Hespeler, Roy of Route 2, Preston; Beatrice (Mrs. Ward Dettweiler) of Route 2, Preston, Dorothy (Mrs. Vernon Metzger) of Heidelberg; Margaret (Mrs. Cyril Derbyshire), Hespeler; Mary Eby) Bradford; Helen (Mrs. Edward Crowther), St. Clements; predeceased by his wife in 1962, and by one sister; brother of Clarence of New Hamburg; 32 grandchildren. Mr. Rabe was born in Waterloo Township and had resided at Route 2, Preston, until seven years ago when he moved to St. Clements. Employed with Roxton Furniture Company, Elmira; member of Wanner Mennonite Church, Hespeler. Resting at the Barthel-Stagger Funeral Home; Preston, until Wednesday noon, thence to Wanner Mennonite Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. Internment in Wanner cemetery

Rabe, Henry, son of John and Elizabeth (Jahn) Rabe, was born in Waterloo Township on Sept. 26, 1902; died at Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, Sept. 10, 1972; aged 69 y. 11 m. 15 d. He was married to Lucinda Wilhelm, who preceded him in death on May 27, 1962. A sister also preceded him. Surviving are three sons (Claude, John, and Roy), five daughters (Beatrice - Mrs. Ward Dettweiler, Dorothy - Mrs. Vernon Metzger, Margaret - Mrs. Cyril Derbyshire, Mary - Mrs. David Eby, and Helen - Mrs. Edward Crowther), a brother (Clarence) and 32 grandchildren. He was a member of the Wanner Mennonite Church, Hespeler, Ont., where funeral services were held on Sept. 13, in charge of Merle Shantz and Herbert Schultz; interment in Wanner Cemetery.
