    • ELSTON, RALPH

      Of 49 Landsdowne Ave. in Hespeler, suddenly, at his residence, on Friday morning, February 8, 1963, in his 75th year. Born in England, Mr. Elston had been a resident of this district for fifty-five years. Having farmed in Puslinch Township for a number of years, he was later employed by Dominion Woollens and Worsteds Ltd. He retired in 1957. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Elston. Mr. Elston was a Presbyterian and attended Duff's Church in Puslinch and St. Andrew's Church in Hespeler. His wife, Annie Cober, predeceased him in 1954. Surviving are four daughters, Emily (Mrs. Jack Thornbourne (?) of Waterdown; Alice (Mrs. Henry Broeckel) of Guelph; Hilda (Mrs. Ivan Tweedle of Dundas; Helen (Mrs. William Farraway) of Hamilton; and eleven grandchildren. Service at the Stager-Nelson Funeral Home, 23 Galt St. in Hespeler on Mon., Feb. 11 at 2. Rev. S. W. Gentle of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church officiated. Pallbearers: Murray McPherson of Puslinch; Lindsay McFarlane of Brampton; Ralph Tweedle of Dundas; Edward Broeckel of Guelph; Jack Connell and Murray Matthews of Hespeler. Interment was in Hespeler Cemetery.
