  PRESTON, March 4.-Allen Myers died at his home in Doon yesterday in his 74th year. Deceased, who had farmed in that area for many years, was born in Baden. Surviving are his widow, who, previous to her marriage was Miss Mary O'Hanley, one son, Joseph of Kitchener, and three daughters, Mrs. Walter Winkler of Greenland, Sask., Mrs. Ella Bonner of Doon, and Mrs. Jerome White of Doon. Thirteen grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon from the residence at 2.30 o'clock to Doon Cemetery. The Kitchener Daily Record 29 Mar 1938 ___________________ "(Preston) Funeral services for Allen Myers of Doon, who passed away in his 74th year on Thurs. were held from the residence on Sat. afternoon, with interment in Doon Cemetery. The service was in charge of Rev. Dr. Brown of Hespeler. Pallbearers were Fred Kauk, Isiah Cressman, Henry Fieck, Charles Reider and William Seftel of Doon and John White of Kitchener.".
