  Baird, Halbert Andrew "John" \endash Peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Woodlands of Sunset on August 1, 2018 at the age of 78 years. Husband of Ronna and loving father of Hal (Barbara), Tammy, Kelly (Steve) and the late Jay Baird. Loved grandfather of Sarah, Nicole, Laura, Kerry, Philip, Melinda, Stephanie, Grant, Kirstin, Hallie, Noah and Hannah. Dear brother in law of Harry Deekon. Predeceased by his parents Dawson and Hazel Baird his brothers Darwin and Watson, his sisters Orion Beckett, Gilda Olsson and Joyce Eden as well as his brother in law Philip Deekon. A service to celebrate Halbert's life will be held at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 12 noon with visitation commencing at 10am. As an expression of sympathy donations to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Parkinson's Society would be appreciated by the family.
