    • HILGARTNER, Walter Harry Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Monday, June 6, 2011, in his 93rd year. Beloved father of Marlene Bauman (Paul) of Kitchener, Joanne Wynette (Ed) of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of Shawn (Gary), Sue-Ann (Ron), Cindy (Glenn), Matthew (Sarah), Kyle (Julie) and great-grand-children Rachel, Brandon, Ryan, McKayla, Cameron, Taylor and Molly Jo, and a special Pop to Alicia (Tom Owens) and their daughter Christina and son Jeremy. Also survived by his sister Emma Claydon of Cambridge. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Anne Hilgartner and five brothers and two sisters. Walter was born on the family farm in Strasburg and lived in Cambridge since 1929. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 126 for 70 years. A former volunteer fireman with the Preston Fire Dept. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 810 King St. E., Cambridge on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to St. Peter's Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
