  Rudolph Douglas Gilbert Tuesday, April 15th, 1930 - Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022, at the age of 91. Loving husband to Florence for 64 years. Humble father of Andrea, Douglas (Louise), Dana (Nicole), Blair (Paula), and David (Betty). Beloved grandfather of Michael, Eric, Steven, Theresa, Katie, Josh, Jordan, Justyne, Shawn, Max, Maddie, Caroline, Jacob, Bobby and great grandfather of Tyler, Emmalie, Kira, Lily, Evelyne, Kailey and Auston. Son of Donald and Blanche. Dear brother of Irvine, Perley, Vernon, Marguerite and Rowena. Rudy held a very special place in his family's heart. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and devoted himself to a lifelong pursuit of his family history. He was happiest spending time with his family, playing with his grandchildren, visiting with friends and neighbours and working on his word search puzzles to pass time. His grandchildren will fondly remember him for his comment of "you won't like that" while a piece of pie was being served. Rudy's family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 PM - 12:45 PM on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10 Lorraine Ave., Kitchener. Rudy's funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
