    • EDWARD C. FORLER

      Edward C. Forler, 77, of 145 Peter St., Kitchener, who owned and operated several hotel before his retirment in 1939, died Sunday, August 2, at K-W Hospital after a brief illness.

      Mr. Forler had operated the East End Hotel in Kitchener, the Rockton Inn at Rockton and the Royal Hotel in Elmira.

      Born July 1, 1882, in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Forler. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the Canadian Order of Foresters.

      Surviving besides his wife, the former Emma Lasso, are three sons, Carl and Jack of Kitchener and William of Conestogo; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Irene) Luft of St. Thomas; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Stiefelmeyer and Mrs. Mary Witt of Kitchener, and Mrs. Edward Engel of Waterloo; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by four brothers and a sister.
