- Jacob S. Levan, "the eldest in family, was born December 31st, 1830. On September 9th, 1856, he was married to Hannah Master. They resided in the town of Berlin where he carried on the blacksmithing business for a number of years. He died May 2nd, 1876, leaving a family of four sons"
