  MALTBY, EVERETT WATSON A well known resident of Galt for the past fifty-five years, of 58 Lincoln Ave. , on Friday, June 10, 1966, at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, in his 85th year. A native of Laurel, ON, he came to Galt from Aberfoyle, A blacksmith and woodworker by vocation, Mr. Maltby owned and operated his own shop on Wellington St. , Galt until 1951, when he commenced employment with Canadian Brass, continuing until he retired in 1956. A staunch member of Wesley United Church, he was an honorary elder and member of the trustee board, served on the board of stewards, assisted in the Sunday School and was a member of the church choir. Surviving are his wife, Annie Laura Ruddell; four daughters and two sons, Ola Maltby of Galt; Thoral Maltby of Toronto; Cora (Mrs. Donald Hall) of Willowdale; Mona (Mrs. Harry Pelton) of Embro, ON; Delmar and Mancil, both of Harriston; a sister, Pearl (Mrs. William G. Shore) of Guelph; a brother, W. Sidney Maltby of Guelph; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a daughter, Lefa Maltby, a brother Leonard Maltby; and a sister, Roberta Maltby. Service at Coutts and Son Funeral Home, Galt on Tues. , June 14 at 2, conducted by Rev. Arthur Lewis of Lincoln Avenue United Church. Pallbearers: Lloyd Maltby of Milgrove; Orton Maltby of Aberfoyle; Donald Shore of Guelph; William Smith of London; Donald Ruddell of Toronto; and John Lockston of Galt.
