  PENNY, Phyllis Rosetta Passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Grand River Hospital, in her 94th year. Phyllis (Shantz) Penny, of Elmira, was the beloved wife of the late Thomas E. Penny (1986). Dear mother of Jim and Dia of Kitchener, and MaryLou and Rudi Remers of Port Franks. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Alicia (Andrew) Bennett and Brenda Penny (Chris Roth), and by her four great-grand- children Nolan and Aiden; Claire and Zach. Sister of Ruth and Ross Simpson of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents Allen and Luella (Knorr) Shantz, and by her son Thomas in infancy. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 2-5 p.m. and Monday, March 21, 2016 from 10-10:45 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A reception will take place after the service. In Phyllis's memory, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or St. James Lutheran Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
