- Fred Miller Who Was Struck by Board in Abdomen, Passes Away on Thursday
LIVED HERE TWO MONTHS
Fred Miller, the unfortunate young man who figured in the accident at J. Kaufman's planing mill last Tuesday forenoon, succumbed to his injuries, Thursday afternoon at 1.30. The accident took place while he was engaged cutting a plank on a rip-saw, struck him a fearful blow in the abdomen. He was immediately removed to the home on Charon St. where Dr. Honsberger attended him. He seemed at first to be improving until Thursday morning when he took a decided turn for the worse and kept gradually sinking until death relieved him of his sufferings after being conscious throughout. Deceased had been living in Berlin but two months, having previously, resided in Elmira where he lived since his young. He was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller of Elmira and was in his thirty-second year. He is survived by a loving wife and two children, Rosie 17 months of age and Beslie, three months. The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon from his late residence on Charon St., to the Evangelical Church at Elmira for services and burying ground for interment.
