- ROTH, Harold (Pete) - Passed away suddenly, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener on Tuesday, January 8, 2008. He was born 76 years ago in Shakespeare, a son of the late Josiah and Talma (Baechler) Roth. Harold was presently living at Morningside Village, New Hamburg, and was formerly of Kitchener and Corunna. He had co-owned and operated a grocery store in Corunna for many years and was a member of Shakespeare Presbyterian Church. Harold was a vibrant, generous and fun-loving man. Loving husband of Marlene (Taylor) Roth, whom he married November 15, 1952. Cherished father of Deb and Marty Steinberg of Kitchener, and Cindy and Roy Juschka of Corunna. Dear grandfather of Tiffany Steinberg and Bob Hammer, Jordan Juschka, and great-grandfather of Jacob and Taylor. Dear brother of Ruth Denstedt, Wray and Verna Roth, Bob and Robin Roth, Shirley and Eddie Kraus, and Ken and Cheryl Roth, and brother-in-law of Marg Roth and Ken and Barb Taylor. Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister, Audrey Roth; brother, Don Roth; brothers-in-law, Curly Denstedt and Werner Dencker. According to Harold's wish, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Harold's life will take place at Shakespeare Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Glenn Kukkola officiating. Private burial in St. Andrew's Presbyterian cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice by calling the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , New Hamburg 519-662-1661.
