- The Late Mrs. Forler
The death occurred on Monday at the home of the Misses Ottmann of Mrs. Anna Forler in her 80th year. Death was due to chronic nephritis, with which she had been ailing for the past few years. Deceased was born in Germany, coming to this country about 50 years ago with her parents. They went direct to Sullivan township, and then moved to Elmwood, where she married Christian Forler about 40 years ago, who predeceased her 8 years ago. Later they resided in Southampton for a number of years and then returned to Elmwood, where they lived until coming to Hanover about 7 years ago, making their home with Mrs. N. Wunnenburg until 1922, and on the death of Mrs. Jacob Ottmann, she resided with the Misses Ottmann until the final call came. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon to the Hanover cemetery, followed by a memorial service in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Rev. H. Twietmeyer conducted the obsequies. Among those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mrs. C. Knapp of Elmwood and Mr. Gordon Ottmann of Kincardine.
