  David Strome, "was born April 28th, 1817. He was married to Catherine Sararas. They resided about three miles east of Hespeler where he was engaged in farming. Here he died September 21st, 1875. She is still living (January 12th, 1895) and enjoying good health. They had a family of eight children Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
