- WEBER, George Kinsie -- Of Chesley, suddenly, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Basra, Iraq, on Monday, January 6, 2003, in his 74th year. Dearly beloved husband of Lena WEBER (née FREY). Cherished father of Reg (Melissa) of Eugenia, and Tania (John) of Owen Sound. Loved grandpa of Kaitlyn, Kassandra, Colton, and Rebecca. Dear brother of Helen FREY of Waterloo, Donald of Listowel, Frank (Reta) of Alma and brother-in-law of Helen WEBER of Drayton. Predeceased by his brothers Emmerson (Edna) and Lawrence, sister Beatrice WEBER, sister-in-law Naomi WEBER, a sister in infancy and by his parents Ion and Geneva (KINSIE) WEBER. Also missed by Lena's brothers and sisters Edna (Henry SHANTZ) of Heidelberg, Amsey (deceased January 4, 2003), and Ina Frey of St. Clements, Alice FREY of Toronto, Paul (Linda) FREY of Switzerland and Waterloo, Ken (Linda) FREY of Rockwood. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the McFadden Funeral Home, Chesley, on Sunday, January 13, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. from St. John's United Church, Chesley, with Rev. Anita JANZEN of the Hanover Mennonite Church officiating. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Christian Peacemaker Team, Mennonite Central Committee or the Chesley Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
