- Mrs Harriet Eby, 81, widow and John Eby, died at her home, five miles north and three miles west of Wakarusa, Thursday evening, after and illness of eighteen months.
Born March 28, 1858, she was the daughter of Henry and Anna Weaver.
On October 7, 1877, she was married to Mr Eby, who died October 26, 1897.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs Eugene Long, who made her home with Mrs Eby, and Mrs George C Rogers of Mishawaka; eight grandchildren; eight great-granddaughters; a sister, Mrs Hettie Bixler of Wakarusa, aged 90, and four brothers, Sam Weaver of Elkhart, Aaron of Wakarusa, George of Mapleton, Ia, and A E Weaver of Noblesville, Ind.
She was a member of the Olive Mennonite church, where the funeral was held at 2:30 pm last Saturday. The Rev D A Yoder and Rev Clarence Shank officiated. Burial was made in the Olive cemetery.
