    • AITKIN, Robert Bruce - After a long illness at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday December 10, 1995 in his 86th year. Bruce Aitkin of Cambridge-Galt, beloved husband of Marion Aitkin (nee Barrie), dear father of Eleanor Matte and her husband Dennis of Orangeville, Helen Aitkin of Fergus, George Aitkin of Cambridge, Lois Cherry and her husband Nik of Rockwood and Robert Aitkin of Waterloo. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Anthony, Barrie, Owen, Robin, Allison, Emily, Carla, Cherin, and Lilian. Dear brother of the late George Spalding Aitkin (1992). Bruce Aitkin was a retired employee of the Post Office, a veteran of W.W.II, a life time member and elder of Central Presbyterian Church and actively involved in the Church Choir. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A Service of Remembrance will be conducted at Central Presbyterian Church, Queen's Square, on Wednesday December 13, 1995 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Angus Sutherland officiating. Cremation has taken place. Remembrances to Central Presbyterian Church-Preservation Fund, Queen's Square, Cambridge N1S 1H4 or the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care, 700 Coronation Blvd., Cambridge N1R 9Z9 would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Little's Funeral Home, 223 Main Street East, Cambridge (623-1290).
