      Carsonville, January 31.

      Thomas Hewitt, who died at his home Northwest of Carsonville January 28, was born September 3, 1850. He leaves a widow, four sons, and five daughters, Jack, Thomas, and Nate, of Carsonville, and George of Port Huron; Mrs William Morrow, a Port Huron, Mrs S. A. Peeler, of Cleveland, Mrs. Fred Hildebrand, of Des Moines, IA, Mrs. Herman Bowlsby, and Mrs. Edward Broomfield, both of Sandusky.

      Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church, Carsonville, today. Rev D. L. Jones, assisted by Reverend Lounds had charge of the services. Interment was in the Washington Cemetery
