  ELMIRA-Mrs. Amos Eby, 94, of Elmira died today at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener after a short illness. Mrs. Eby was the former Christine Eix. She was born near Hawkesville, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Eix, one of the Woolwich Township pioneer families. Mrs. Eby spent her entire life in the Elmira district and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was married to Amos Eby in 1892 and they farmed near Floradale until the death of her husband in 1930. She then moved to Elmira. Surviving are a son, Arthur of Timmins; four daughters, Mrs. Henri (Florentine) Reeg of Valois, N.Y., Mrs. Edward (Rachel) Campbell of Kitchener, Mrs. Keary (Hilda) Galley of Elmira and Mrs. Dan (Rosetta) Hill of Lockport, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, a daughter, four brothers and four sisters. The body will be at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira; after Thursday until Saturday noon when removal will be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church for the funeral at 3 p.m. conducted by Rev. Dayton Fritz. Burial will be in Elmira Cemetery. The Kitchener-Waterloo Record 8 Apr 1964
